What SLA is (reference)
SLA cures liquid resin layer-by-layer with UV for fine, smooth polymer parts — often for cosmetics, clear look-alikes, or light display use. It is not a Zoryra Precision standard process. Use this page to decide: special SLA sourcing vs CNC machined proto.

SLA pros & trade-offs (selection)
| Pros | Consider |
|---|---|
| Smooth cosmetics, fine features | Resin strength/UV often weaker than machined engineering plastics |
| Clear look-alikes possible | Fits, threads, press-fits usually better on CNC |
| Fast appearance mockups | SLA is not a Zoryra Precision standard line |
Typical marketplace SLA specs (reference only — not Zoryra Precision capacity)
| Layer thickness (ref) | Often ~0.02–0.1 mm class depending on machine |
|---|---|
| Min feature (ref) | Marketplace pages often cite ~0.4–0.5 mm |
| Tolerance (ref) | Often marketed around ±0.2% with a floor |
| Zoryra Precision path | Quote functional parts to CNC drawing tolerances + material |
Design tips (SLA reference + CNC proto)
Walls
SLA ref: unsupported walls often ≥0.6 mm. CNC plastic follows stiffness + tool radius.
Holes
SLA ref: tiny holes can clog (≥0.75 mm common). CNC follows drill/mill access.
Assembly gaps
SLA moving gaps often ≥0.5 mm. CNC can go tighter per drawing + datums.
Engraved text
SLA suits fine relief. CNC needs enough tool width/depth — avoid hairline fonts.
