DFM Checklist Before You Upload CAD
Before upload: mark critical dimensions, thread standards, finish, material grade, and quantity.
Check: wall thickness, deep pockets, unsupported thin features, and missing radii.
Then upload STEP for an instant reference quote — no account required to preview.
If walls look thin, pockets look deep, or you need hard anodize plus tight threads, add a note so engineering can flag masking and tool-radius issues before you confirm.
Keep STEP / STL / IGES units consistent with the drawing. Metric vs inch mix is a common reason a reference quote looks “too cheap” or “too slow”.
