Print tolerances are the contract. A vise mark on an unnamed face is a conversation, not an automatic remake, unless you also gouged it. Ask them to mark shown faces. Then you can mask, pad, or machine that face.

If you agree to a free remake this once, say it is a concession and add a cosmetic note to the next quote. Silence makes the concession the new standard.

Photos in the rejection email are useful. 'Looks bad' is not a dimension. Ask which faces are seen by their customer.
