Anodize called out, and the thickness stacks on a fit

A sliding fit is ±0.02 before anodize. The print also says black anodize. Nobody said whether the fit is before or after. Type II thickness will eat that tolerance.

Ask which condition is gauged. If the fit is after anodize, the machine target moves by the thickness, and the anodizer has to hold a thickness. Put both in the quote. If you machine to the print and then anodize, you will be small.

Price a mask if only some faces are coated. 'Black anodize' on a whole drawing is how bearing bores get coated.

Get the answer before the first article, not after the coater has the batch.
