Missing thread class on a 'standard' metric hole

The print says M8 in a table and does not give a class. We assumed 6H. The gauge they used on incoming is a tighter gauge and two holes fail. The quote did not mention class.

M8 with no class is incomplete. Quote 6H unless they specify, and write 'threads to 6H' on the quote. A silent assumption is invisible on the PO.

On this lot, gauge with a 6H plug and report those results beside theirs. If their gauge is a special, they need to send it or specify it. You cannot hit a gauge you were not given.

A thread that fails a mystery gauge is not automatically scrap. It is a specification gap. Close it before you retap the lot.
