We quoted EXW. The buyer's PO says 'freight included, your account, to the dock' and uses our unit price. The parts are heavy and the dock is across the country.

Acknowledge the PO with the exception in the same day: price stands, freight is extra, or here is the freight number. A PO that silently changes delivery does not rewrite your quote if you reject the change. Silence can look like acceptance.

Heavy parts need a freight line from a real carrier quote, not a shrug. Add it before you cut chips if the PO is the only order you have.
