The print's only finish note is 'deburr all edges and break sharp corners.' The buyer later rejected a 0.5 mm chamfer as too big and also rejected a barely broken edge as sharp. The quote did not mention edge break.

Price a defined break, for example 0.2–0.4 mm, and write that assumption on the quote. 'Break edges' is not a shared number. If they need sharp and burr-free, that is a different process and a different price.

When the rejection arrives, point at the assumption you wrote. If you wrote nothing, you are negotiating from zero. Settle this lot, and do not quote the next one the same way.
