PEEK that leaves a burr and a size change after a wash

A PEEK insulator is milled to a tight width, washed in warm water, and then measures wide. There is also a fuzzy burr on the edges that was not obvious on the machine. The tool was sharp.

PEEK moves with heat and moisture. A warm wash is a process step, so gauge after the wash you will actually use, and leave the machine offset where the washed part is in size.

The fuzzy edge is often a rubbed tool or a feed that is too fine. A sharper edge and a real chip reduce the burr more than a knife at the bench, which changes the width again.

Agree whether the size is before or after wash. Both numbers are real. Only one is the sale.
