A buyer sent back a lot of turned pins. Our in-process check passed. Their incoming gauge says the diameter is 0.015 small. Both sides used different gauges. The PO says the drawing is the authority.

Stop the argument about whose gauge is nicer and measure the same pin on a surface plate with a gauge that has a current calibration sticker. The drawing wins, the stickered tool decides.

Ask which sample they measured and whether it was before or after their wash. A solvent wash has moved aluminum pins by more than 0.01 mm for us.

If their gauge and yours disagree on a master, one of them is not a master. Put that in the reply with the two readings, not with a speech about trust.
