Spindle drawbar that will not release a holder when hot

Cold, the tool changer unclamps fine. After two hours the unclamp fails until the spindle sits for twenty minutes. The air pressure at the machine gauge is in range. The holder is not stuck from a crash.

Heat plus a lazy unclamp is often the drawbar springs or the air cylinder losing force when hot, or a pull stud that is galled and binds only after it grows. Try a known-good holder with a new stud. If that releases hot, the studs in the crib are the problem.

If a good holder also sticks when hot, check the unclamp pressure at the cylinder, not only at the machine gauge, and have the drawbar force measured. A gauge at the manifold can look fine while the cylinder is tired.

Do not pry holders out and keep running. A partial clamp is how tools drop.
