The print shows full thread to within 1 mm of the bottom of a blind M6, 12 mm deep. A spiral point tap is what we have. The tap drill is deep enough. The gauge stops short.

A spiral point tap pushes chips ahead of it and will not give you full thread at the bottom of a blind hole. Use a spiral flute tap, drill deeper if the drawing allows a deeper drill than thread, and gauge with a thread plug seated to the depth the note asks.

If the drawing truly needs thread to 1 mm from the bottom, the drill must go deeper than the thread or the tap will bottom. That deeper drill has to be on the print or in an agreed deviation. Do not just push the tap harder.

Chips left in the bottom make a good tap look short. Blow the hole and gauge again before you scrap the part.
