What wear offset do you leave for a polishing pass that is not in the CAM?

The CAM program finishes a boss to size. The buyer then wants a hand polish on the top. If we polish after a boss that is already at the low limit, we lose the size. If we leave stock, nobody wrote how much.

Leave a known stock on the polished face only, something you can remove with the abrasive you actually use, often a few hundredths, and write that number on the setup sheet. 'A little' becomes a tenth by Friday.

Do not leave stock on diameters that are not polished. One wear offset for the whole tool will grow the boss and the holes together.

Gauge after polish, not before, on the dimension the polish changes. The machine number is not the shipping number.
