A facing cycle on a 300 mm disk in aluminum uses constant surface speed. At the center the spindle hits the cap and the control dwells while the tool is still on the face. There is a bright spot in the middle.

Cap the rpm at a number the tool can live with, and do not sit at the center. A short dwell on a face at X0 is a rub. Program the end of the face just off center or feed through and off the part.

If the bright spot is only at the rpm limit, the feed collapsed because surface speed could not be held. Raise the feed or drop the surface speed so the center still makes a chip.

A wiper that stops is worse than a sharp insert that keeps moving. Motion matters more than the textbook speed at X0.
