Work offset changed after a tool change mid-cycle

We broke a drill, replaced it, and set the length. After restart the next tool cut deep by about the length difference of the old drill. G54 was not edited. The control is a Fanuc-style offset page with both geometry and wear.

If the new drill's length was typed into wear, or the old wear was left in place, every tool that comes after can be wrong when the program uses a common work shift that someone 'fixed' with wear. Measure the new tool into geometry and clear the wear for that pocket.

Restart from a safe block, not from the line after the broken tool, unless you know the control will call the length again. Some restarts keep the last active length until the next offset call.

Write down which page you edited. Geometry and wear are how a correct tool still cuts deep.
