The drawing is controlled, but the setup lives in someone's head. When that person is out, the next bracket takes half a shift. I want one page a new setter can follow without a speech.

The page should name the vise or fixture, the jaw orientation, the stop, the G54 origin in plain words, the tool list with stickout, and the one dimension that proves the setup before the batch runs.

Add the clamp torque or the number of turns on the screw, and a photo of the stop touching the part. Most lost setups are a stop on the wrong face, not a wrong feed.

Keep revision of the drawing on that page. A setup sheet for rev C will quietly scrap rev D if the datum moved.
