DWG-4331 rev A is a small laser mount, 4 pieces. The title block says titanium and the note says grade 2 or Ti-6Al-4V. The flange is 3 mm thick with a 12 mm bore ±0.02 mm. I need one grade, not a choice.
Ti-6Al-4V or grade 2 on DWG-4331
Pick one. Ti-6Al-4V if the mount is structural. Grade 2 if you only need corrosion resistance and a quieter cut. The ±0.02 mm bore is the tight feature either way, and titanium will not hold it if the wall is hot. Which load is real?
We bored a grade 2 flange and the 12 mm hole grew to 12.06 mm after it cooled. The Ti-6Al-4V one, same program, finished at 12.01 mm once we left 0.1 mm for the last pass.
I will lock DWG-4331 as Ti-6Al-4V and keep the bore at 12.00 ±0.02 mm. Please quote 4 pieces. Is 8–10 days honest for titanium, or do you need longer?
