Datum A on DWG-4312 is the saw-cut face

DWG-4312 rev B is a 6061 plate, 10 pieces. Datum A is the saw-cut long edge, and true position of the two dowel holes is Ø0.1 mm to A and B. The saw edge looks rough. I measured 0.4 mm of waviness with a straightedge.

A saw-cut face is a poor datum if it moves 0.4 mm. I would machine a witness on A, or move the datum to a milled face, and keep the Ø0.1 mm only after that face is cut. Are the dowels for alignment or just for a loose pin?
Bay 2 Lead
We tried to clock off a saw edge on a 6061 plate and the second dowel hole came out 0.22 mm off the CMM. After a 0.3 mm skim on datum A, the same hole was 0.03 mm.

I will skim datum A and leave the Ø0.1 mm on the dowels. Next step is a new PDF with the skim note. Lead time can stay the standard 8–10 days if that skim is in the same setup.
