DWG-4301 rev C is a 6061 bracket, 18 pieces. Four holes sit on a 30° pattern around a 42 mm bolt circle, and the angle is just typed in the corner with no datum. I do not know which face the 30° starts from. The print also says ±0.1 mm on the 8.00 mm thickness.
30° hole pattern on DWG-4301 has no datum
A typed 30° is not a datum. I would pick face A, the one that sits on the fixture, and dimension the angle from that face to the first hole. ±0.1 mm on the 8.00 mm thickness does not locate the pattern. Which edge are you actually clocking in the vise?
We ran a similar 6061 bracket last month. The 30° was taken off the saw-cut edge and the first hole landed 0.6 mm off the mating pin. After they added datum A, the same hole measured 0.04 mm off the pin.
I will add datum A on the fixture face and keep the 30° from that face. Thickness stays 8.00 ±0.1 mm. Is the 8–10 day tier still realistic for 18 anodized pieces?
