Our CAD export is IGES. The shop notes say STEP or PDF. Will an IGES file be quoted?

Can we send IGES instead of STEP for a CNC quote?
Send STEP if you can export it. IGES often drops faces or splits one solid into surfaces, and that slows the quote.

If IGES is all you have, send it with a PDF that has sizes and tolerances. We will say if the model is not a solid.

DWG, STEP, and PDF still answer different questions. The model shows shape. The drawing shows what we inspect.
