We are quoting a drone motor mount. The drawing says aluminum but does not pick 6061 or 7075. Which one should we specify?

6061 or 7075 aluminum for a drone bracket?
Put 6061 on a typical mount. It machines cleanly and takes anodize. Use 7075 only when the drawing needs the higher strength.

Do not leave the grade blank. The quote follows the grade you write. A swap after the quote changes the price and the lead time.

If the mount is thin and the holes are close to an edge, say so on the drawing. The grade does not replace a wall thickness or a hole position.
