We need drone parts: motor mounts and arm links. The print allows 6061-T6 or 7075-T6. What do you actually machine, and what should we not call out?

6061-T6 is the usual choice for mounts, arm links, and battery trays when the wall is thin and you want anodize. 7075-T6 when the drawing needs higher strength and you accept harder machining and a less even anodize.

Do not leave the alloy as aluminum. Write the temper. A motor mount that is 7075 on the model and 6061 in the note will be quoted from whichever line the buyer typed, so make them match.

We machine the part on the drawing. We do not certify a flight-critical load. If the mount carries flight load, say so and mark the mating faces. We will not invent a flight approval.
