G84 taps M6 at an rpm that does not divide cleanly into the pitch the control expects. Some holes are good. Some fault on the pull-out. The tap is sharp and the drill is the right size. Feed is not written in the block. The cycle calculates it.

Use an rpm the control can resolve for that pitch, and do not override the spindle during G84. An override or an rpm the cycle cannot match will fault on the way out even when the way in felt fine.

If the control has a rigid tap parameter for the highest rpm, stay under it. A sharp tap does not fix a cycle that loses the pitch relationship.

Prove ten holes. A single good hole does not clear an intermittent pull-out fault.
