A Fanuc mill faults and the operator restarts mid-program. The restart line is after the tool change and before the G43. The next move uses the previous tool's length. The tool in the spindle is the new one. The face is gouged.

Restart at the tool change and the G43 line, not at the cutting line after it. A Fanuc will keep the last length until a new G43 H is read. The tool in the spindle is not proof the length is active.

Teach the restart as: which tool, which H, which work offset, then a move above the part. A bookmark at a cutting block is how faces get gouged.

If you use a restart macro, make it call the length. Do not assume the line number is enough.
