OSP variable that still holds yesterday's part length

A family program reads a variable for length. Yesterday's long part is still in the variable. Today's short part was faced as if it were the long one and the tool went past the face into the soft jaw. The program header says to set the variable. Nobody did.

A family program starts with the variable on the screen and a forced entry, or it starts wrong. Make the program alarm if the length variable is outside today's range, so yesterday's value cannot silently run.

Put today's length on the setup sheet in the same units the variable uses. A note that says 'set length' without the number is how the jaw got cut.

After a crash into the jaw, check the jaw and the variable before the next part. The variable did exactly what it was left holding.
