With nose compensation on, a face that should be square cuts a slight taper, low at the outside. With compensation off and a hand-adjusted path, the face is square and the shoulder fillet disappears. The insert is a 0.8 radius. The path was programmed as sharp.

Program the nose radius and turn compensation on, or program the radius yourself and turn it off. A sharp path with compensation on will move the tool by the nose and can tip a face if the direction is wrong. A square face with a missing fillet is the other choice, and it is also wrong if the print has a fillet.

Indicate the face with a test cut before the batch. Compensation direction errors show up immediately on a face.

Pick the method and stick to it for that program. Mixing both is the taper plus the missing fillet.
