On a Mazak milling control the finish looks bright except for a tick at each corner of a square pocket. The CAM is posted as EIA. Corner smoothing is on. The tick is small and the buyer sees it.

A tick at a programmed corner is the control obeying a sharp corner or a smoothing setting that does not cover that move. Look at whether the post output a radius or a sharp point, and at the smoothing level for that mode. EIA on a Mazak still has to be told to round.

If the print allows a small corner radius, post the radius. A control that is asked to make a sharp corner will hesitate or tick.

Do not polish four corners on every part and leave the post alone. The tick is in the code or the smoothing page.
