Haas NGC work offset that does not match the probe

On a Haas NGC the probe cycle writes G54 and the first hole is off by about 0.2 mm in Y. The probe calibration ran. The work offset page shows the numbers the probe just wrote. A test indicator on the same bore does not match those numbers.

Check that the probe is using the offset you think, and that a previous G52 or a rotated work offset is not still active. An NGC will happily write G54 and then run in a shifted coordinate if something else is on.

Indicate the bore and compare to the probe result in the same unit and the same offset. If the indicator and the probe disagree, recalibrate the probe stylus before you edit G54 by hand.

0.2 mm is a stylus or a coordinate problem, not temperature. Do not wear-offset a tool to hide it.
