Using wear compensation when the CAM already output the wear

The programmer output the finish path at nominal and told the operator to use wear. Another programmer included a 0.05 mm offset in the path and also left a note to use wear. Parts from the two files do not match.

Pick one place for the offset. Either the path is nominal and wear is in the control, or the path is posted to size and wear starts at zero. Doing both cuts twice the stock.

Write the rule on the setup sheet for that file: 'wear zero' or 'wear is the only adjustment.' The note in the CAM tree is not on the machine.

When you revise, do not change the rule quietly. A file that used to want wear and now has it posted will scrap the first article in the direction people 'always' comp.
