A boss is finished in one profile. One wall is bright and the other is gray in the same 6061. The tool is sharp. The CAM arrow shows climb.

On a closed profile, one side of a climb cut is still a conventional cut if the tool is inside or outside the wrong way, or if a wear compensation flips the effective direction. Look at which side of the line the tool is on, not only at the arrow.

A gray wall in 6061 is often conventional milling with a rubbed edge. Split the finish so both shown walls are climb, even if that is two paths.

If only one wall is a shown face, climb that one and leave the other. Do not slow the whole profile for a face nobody sees.
