The CAM stock is a rectangular block. The real part is a casting that is thin on one ear. The toolpath is happy and the first ear breaks through. The casting model was in the email and never made it into the CAM file.

Machine from the casting model, aligned the way you fixture it, or you are programming a block you do not have. Import the scan or the casting STEP and shift it to the datums you will pick up.

If the casting varies more than the stock allowance, the first article is a layout of the casting, not a green light for the pallet. Check the thin ear on a few castings before you post a production file.

A breakthrough is a CAM stock error. Treat it as that in the scrap tag so the next program uses the real solid.
