What should we mark for anodize masking?

Mark mating faces, grounds, and threads to mask. Stainless cannot be anodized. Type II typically +2–4 days.

Anodize is for aluminum. If mating faces, electrical grounds, or threads must stay as-machined, mark the mask on the drawing. Do not assume the shop will guess which holes to plug. State clear, black, or hardcoat.

Type II typically +2–4 days; hardcoat longer — on production, then add freight. Quantity 1 can be anodized. Stainless goes to passivation, not anodize.
